Electroys is a curated STEM and electronics discovery site. This editorial policy explains how we research products, write reviews, correct errors, and separate editorial judgment from affiliate relationships.
How products are researched
We start with primary sources whenever practical: manufacturer product pages, manuals, support documentation, official education resources, and retailer listings for current availability. We may use additional reputable sources to clarify compatibility or market context.
Hands-on testing vs. documentation-based reviews
Electroys does not imply hands-on testing when it has not occurred. A page based on product documentation is labeled accordingly. If a product is physically tested later, the page will state what was tested, for how long, and any important limitations.
What we evaluate
- What the learner can build, code, explore, or understand.
- Age guidance, skill level, and likely adult-help requirements.
- Setup, software, device, power, and subscription requirements.
- Room to grow beyond the first activity.
- Practical drawbacks, limitations, and purchase considerations.
- Current price context and availability when it materially affects the recommendation.
Affiliate relationships
Affiliate commissions may support Electroys, but they do not guarantee inclusion or favorable coverage. A product can be included even when Electroys has no affiliate relationship with its seller.
Corrections
If a material product fact is wrong or outdated, we aim to correct the page and update its review date. Readers and manufacturers may send factual corrections to myelectroys@gmail.com. Requests for favorable treatment are not treated as factual corrections.
Deals
Deal pages and deal cards should identify when a price was checked. Because prices change quickly, visitors should verify the final retailer price before purchasing.
